Ant TimpsonFounder - 48Hour Film FestivalYou and your team at Flicks.co.nz went way beyond the normal boundaries of client care and offered us services and targeted exposure that was in excess of our initial agreement. To say we were happy with the extra attention is a mammoth understatement. We will be back for all future events. Thank you again
As lovers of movies and movie making, the team started Flicks.co.nz in 2005 simply because there was no place for NZ film-fanatics (like themselves) to get the content they demanded. Before this, there was only a baron wasteland of individual cinema sites - no trailers, no reviews… nothing. The site quickly grew to include session times, trailers, film credits and info, international reviews and box office stats. Then it wasn’t just the fanatics that wanted a piece of the action - the general public caught wind and found a local one-stop-shop for movie going.
Paul Scantlebury Paul studied at the New York Film Academy in 2000 and followed that with a Masters in Screen Production from the University of Auckland in 2005. He has directed and written many short films, the latest of which played at the 2007 New Zealand Film Festival.
Michael Scantlebury After winning the NZ Young Enterprise Scheme Award for Excellence, Michael moved to Auckland to study Law at The University of Auckland. After six months he wisely dropped out of that and started Impero with a business Partner. Impero created Dining Insights – a dining guide on CDROM, that won the Computerworld Honour Award for Technology, and then produced Menus.co.nz which grew to become New Zealands most popular online dining guide. Soon after, he started Impero Design which is now a highly respected design and communications company working with some very high profile brands, all proudly stolen from much bigger agencies. Michael is now also an Enterprise New Zealand Trust Hall of Talent member.
