Bio

New Zealanders love to have their say and Voxy.co.nz provides the platform for them to do that. Voxy is New Zealand's community newswire. Part news website, part blogging platform and a large dose of vigorous debate.

The site provides an expert blend of the news of day, with a broad spectrum of often-competing perspectives and analysis. Quality content sources such as the New Zealand Press Association (NZPA) and the site's many engaging bloggers help set the agenda - but it's Voxy's audience that drives the debate.

History

Voxy was formed in July 2008 with the site's main categories being: National News, Entertainment and Sport, which are supplemented by Lifestyle, Business news and Politics.

It's talk back radio for an Internet age.

Audience

Voxy readers are passionate and not afraid to express their opinions about the world around them. They are heavy consumers of the Internet, with 60% spending more than 10 hours online each week.  Not surprisingly they are much more likely than the average Internet user to have created content online, participated in online communities, and are well above average in their use of the Internet for product research.

If you want to reach sophisticated Internet users - Voxy is the environment for you.

Voxy has a particular geographic strength in Auckland and Wellington, with 53% of users coming from those two regions.

Almost 60% of Voxy readers are female, though the diverse mix of channels available on the site, provides advertisers with the opportunity to target environments that have a much more pronounced male or female skew.
